What’s new for the 2019 RAM Heavy Duty trucks?

RAM Heavy Duty trucks have always been powerful, but now they will be more powerful than ever. For the 2019 model year, the RAM Heavy Duty trucks can be fitted with a 6.7-liter Cumming high output diesel engine that is able to output 1,000 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain also comes with a 5-year or 100,000-mile diesel powertrain warranty.

If you prefer gas, the RAM 2500 and 3500 can both also be equipped with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that can still provide 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine is fitted with an eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission.

With these engines, it should come as no surprise that the 2019 RAM Heavy Duty trucks have all the capability you need. In fact, when properly equipped, the 2019 RAM Heavy Duty can handle up to 35,100 pounds of trailer weight and 7,680 pounds of payload in the bed.

Much like the 2019 RAM 1500, the tech is getting a huge upgrade for the new 2019 RAM 2500 and 3500. Of course, you will have the available 12-inch touchscreen that’s fully configurable, but you will also have a 360-degree surround view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with active braking and so much more.
