When looking at the Dodge Challenger, everyone is all over the sleek looks and high-power performance that this vehicle exhibits. But little do most people know is that there are a bunch of different options that you can add to your Challenger to make it stand alone compared to the rest. Below we’ll be touching on the different options when it comes to engines, wheels, braking systems, and some of the launch features that can be added on.
The first thing to look at when customizing your Challenger is what kind of engine do I want under the hood. Well, you have five options, which we will list now for you. First up is the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that deals out an impressive 303 horsepower. Next up you have the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine, which pushes out 375 horsepower. The third option is the 392 HEMI V8 engine that puts out just over 400 horsepower. If you are looking to supercharge your Challenger, there are two options available for that as well. The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 and the supercharged 6.2-liter high output HEMI V8.
Next up when it comes to performance with the Challenger is the different tires you can choose from. The standard tire is the 20×11 inch Pirelli P-Zero tires that have a strong grip for any driving surface it encounters. If that’s not your style, you can go with the wider-bodied tire look that gives your Challenger a broader look on the road.
Another component to consider when deciding on what you want for your Challenger is the braking system. There are four different braking systems to choose from. First, you have the standard sport braking system. Next, you have the performance braking system that can halt your Challenger on the spot. For fully equipped Challenger’s, you have the option to go with the Brembo four-piston brake system or the six-piston brake system.
One last thing to consider as an add-on to your Dodge Challenger are different launch features. There are two of them you can add. The first being the launch assist feature, and the other being a launch control system.
