Dodge Announces New Safety Security Feature to Prevent Theft for Dodge Challenger and Charger Owners

And we certainly don’t want you to have to worry about whether your vehicle is going to be stolen. Luckily, Dodge has recently announced a new security feature to help prevent theft.

New Security Features

How It Works

The new Security Mode feature uses second-level security encryption via the Uconnect 4C infotainment system to limit the engine output to less than three horsepower. The feature will be controlled via a 4-digit number, though it’s currently unclear how the 4-digit number will be chosen and whether the owner will have to enter the number every time they drive. The software update is set to roll out by the end of Q2 2021 (31 June 2021).
