2018 Jeep Wrangler 4×4 System
The 2018 Wrangler comes equipped with Jeep’s Command-Trac 4×4 system. This system has been designed to go anywhere, utilized a two-speed transfer case with 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio along with solid Dana front and rear axles with a 3.45 rear axle ratio. On the Rubicon trim level, the Wrangler comes equipped with the Rock-Trac 4×4 system that utilizes heavy duty Dana 44 front and rear axles with a “4LO” ratio of 4:1.

The Wrangler’s four-wheel drive system is supplemented by an impressive collection of features designed to maximize off-road performance. These include:
- Skid plates.
- Front and rear tow hooks.
- Available front and rear steel heavy-duty off-road winch-ready bumpers.
- Available 17-inch off-road wheels.
- Available 33-inch tires.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler offers an industry-leading approach angle of 44 degrees, a breakover angle of 27.8 degrees and a departure angle of 37 degrees. The new Wrangler will offer 10.9 inches of ground clearance and has the capability to ford water of up to 30 inches. When properly equipped, the 2018 Wrangler can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
Three engines will be offered on the 2018 Wrangler. The Jeep offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6.
